I am not the most social person, but given the circumstances Olive and I have been surrounding ourselves with family and friends the past couple of weeks. It has been wonderful. This weekend I got to go to a movie with the Hunters and McDowells, Olive spent a night with Mimi and Papa, I got to take care of our turtle a little, we went to the Oroville 1st ward pool party, I got to see Tracie before she moves, we went to church with the fam, had a movie night with Uncle Sutton, and finally made it to Tara's house to play.
I am really just so grateful for all the kind words, thoughts, prayers, emails, phone calls, and hugs. Being around so much love, makes it easier for me to be loving. I know that is what is best for my family right now.
I had such a fun weekend and I didn't take any pictures! I did get some fun pictures from our visit with Ana the other day. She came over to see the puppies and take Olive and me out to dinner. We just love Ana!
Did I mention that we love our puppies too?
Kaylee, those are the cutest pictures of the puppies, especially the last one right after you say, "Did I mention that we love our puppies too?" They look like miniature St. Bernards...so cute. I am glad that you had a nice weekend..just keep busy and enjoying life. Find something happy in every day.

ReplyDeleteFirst, I'm not going to tell you where to live or what to do. I think Zach is a jerk, but you need to make your own decisions.
I will only tell you this: true happiness will only come to you when you are independent, free thinking and engaged in a worthwhile pursuit. No one can give or take away your self-esteem, you must earn it yourself. The best decision you can make for yourself and Olive is to achieve all of those things. Do not depend on anybody for anything, make decisions for yourself, and engage yourself in worthwhile pursuits. If your aren't sure what those are, ask yourself this: Is it difficult? Will it make my life better? Will it make me independent? If the answer to all of those things are yes, then you are on the right track.
Everyone you know who is happy have all of these things. Even if they are married, going to church or not, have kids, rich or poor. Happy people are independent, free-thinking, and industrious.
That being said, I would still soak Zach for everything he is worth out of spite. Don't depend on the money, heck, give it away, but don't let him off easy.
We love you Kaylee. Don't let the man get you down.
Joe is AWESOME!!!!! I love that comment! A lot of truth to it also. Especially the part of taking Zack to the bank! Okay I am just kidding on that but the part about us making our own happiness is very very true. We have no control over anyone but ourselves and how we react. We are the ones that let the actions of others either make us happy/sad/mad whatever it is, we are the ones that do that. Zack is going to go on and be as happy as he wants to be and obviously has shown to you that he doesn't care if it makes you happy or not. So now you get to go out and let him see that he has no power over your happiness! Unlike Joe though, I am going to tell you that you should move to Utah:). I love you Kaylee and that you will always be able to count on!
ReplyDeleteIt is so awesome that you are surrounding yourself with family and friends. People who truly love you and want you to be happy. I wish that we lived closer so that we could take the kids to the park and hang out! Maybe you and Olive should come to Disneyland. :)

It made me think of Florida and how we would be hermits sometimes and not go out with everyone but in stead stay home and eat cookie dough and watch movies.
